Travel advice ahead of Devon County Show 

Drivers planning to use the M5 near Exeter are advised to plan their journeys ahead of this weekend’s three-day Devon County Show at the Westpoint Showground.

The show, to be held on 2/3/4 July, is expected to attract up to 80,000 people over the three days at the Clyst St Mary venue near Exeter, with increased traffic anticipated on the M5 north and south of junctions 29 and 30, the A30 east and west of Exeter and the A38 south of Exeter.

Devon Air Ambulance will be at Devon County Show this July where the charity will seek to raise £10,000 for the service over the show’s three-day duration.

Off-duty members of Devon Air Ambulance crew will be attending this year’s Devon County Show along with one of their Critical Care Cars this weekend. Over the 3 days, the charity will aim to raise £10,000 to support the service throughout what is on trackto be one of their busiest summers yet.

Devon County Council will be back at the Devon County Show this year

Devon County Council and partners will once again be sharing a stand, socially-distanced this time, at this year’s Devon County Show from Friday 2 July – Sunday 4 July.

Visitors to the stand will be able to explore exhibits in a COVID-safe space, spanning a range of themes including the environment, Devon’s climate emergency and business support in Devon.

The Devon County Show have announced unprecedented demand for their Advance Show Tickets, with sales up 600% year on year, as people rush to secure their attendance at this year’s Show after a 26 month absence.

The Show this year on 2, 3 and 4 July will be the 125th in the Show’s history and will be the first County Show to make an appearance on the circuit in 22 months.

Thousands more coronavirus jabs to be given every week in Devon as venues become NHS Vaccination Centres

Two landmark venues in Devon are opening as NHS Vaccination Centres today (26 January), ready to vaccinate tens of thousands of local people in coming weeks.

The Mayflower Grandstand at Plymouth Argyle Football Club’s Home Park Stadium, and exhibition and event venue Westpoint Exeter will be offering their first booked appointments to people in priority groups from Tuesday.

The Devon County Agricultural Association is delighted to announce that the 125th Devon County Show will take place on Friday 2nd Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July 2021.

The County Show, that was cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will move from its usual mid-May dates for next year only.
