Wife running in memory of rugby dad-of-three who never came home

A mum-of-three is running the 2023 TCS London Marathon in memory of her rugby player husband who died suddenly.

Jill Sims will be taking on the 26.2-mile challenge in memory of her husband, Dave, who died from a sudden heart attack in March last year just moments before he was due to meet up with his three sons.

Jill, aged 55 and from Bradninch, said: “Six months before he died, Dave had gone to his doctor. He’d woken up in the early hours of the morning with chest pains. He was perspiring too and I was worried there might have been something wrong with his heart.”...

Wales & West Utilities links with Exeter charity

Wales & West Utilities has linked with an Exeter charity to provide support to homeless and vulnerably housed people across the city.

The gas emergency and pipeline service has partnered with St Petrock’s to provide ‘Keep Warm’ packs for homeless individuals, whilst carbon monoxide safety alarms are being distributed to vulnerably housed people known to the charity.

Devon County Show is to play host to the qualifying rounds to find ‘Britain’s Fittest Farmer of 2023’.

National housebuilder Bloor Homes has received the coveted five-star rating from the National New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey from the Home Builder Federation (HBF).
