Customers can now get a feel for life in a Taylor Wimpey home by visiting the new show homes at the Lunar Rise development in Exeter.

The site in Off Myrtlebury Way has a lovely collection of three, four and five-bedroom properties to suit a range of buyers. Lunar Rise launched for sale this summer and buyers can now visit the brand new show homes, including the three-bedroom Eynsford and the five-bedroom Aireton.

Powerful Puma Lock Molina Signs for Chiefs

Exeter Chiefs have recruited talented Argentinian international lock, Franco Molina, for the 2024/25 season.

Devon upgrading and installing cameras to combat collisions and traffic light jumps

More speed cameras have been installed at accident hotspots across Devon, with some existing ones upgraded.

The county council has acted in areas where data suggests a higher number of road traffic injuries and collisions are happening.

They are also being used to catch drivers who don’t stop at red lights.

Five of the newer safety cameras are in Exeter, with two on Bridge Road and one on Alphington Road. Another pair have been recently installed on Topsham Road at its junction with Barrack Road and another at the Burnthouse Lane junction.

Exeter Explorers is full of boys and girls from 14 to 17…over 70 to be more specific! Due to this huge demand, and with the support of 3rd Exeter Air Scout Group, the Explorer Unit has made the decision to create a brand new Air Explorer Unit.

After take off, Exeter Air Explorers will become the only RAF accredited Air Explorers in the South West of England. Many of the existing Explorers Scouts are excited to retain their speciality in Air Scouting and welcome others to be a part of the new unit.

Winners of children's recycle and reuse short story competition praised

The winners of a children’s short story competition, which focused on the themes of waste and recycling, were presented with their prizes last weekend (September 21) at Exeter Library.

The competition was held earlier this year and was organised by Devon County Council’s Waste Education Team.

The team works with schools across the county to raise awareness about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling through events such as this competition, school trips and workshops.

The National Trust is celebrating the rich heritage of Killerton’s orchards, near Exeter, this October. From 10 October to 3 November, visitors can enjoy daily apple-themed activities and join the ranger team on weekends to press apples and learn about traditional cider-making.

Local care home celebrates 3 years

Cumberland Grange care home, in Exeter has thrown a party for residents, friends and families to celebrate 3 years of serving the local community.

Staff, residents and guests commemorated this special occasion with live music, photo booth pictures with props, a delicious buffet and to top it all off, a visit from a talented local magician who “blew everyone’s minds”. Residents danced the night away and everyone got involved, helping to make the evening a fantastic success.
