Vita Student Exeter has launched a new sustainable initiative to help decrease waste and give pre-loved goods a second lease of life thanks to the Vita Student Swap Shop.
With the average person reportedly throwing 400kg of waste away every year*, the impact that individuals can have on the environment is significant.
The Vita Student Swap Shops aim to tackle this issue by encouraging students to share previously loved items which they no longer have a use for, donating them to other residents.

Police investigating a road traffic collision in Alphington, Exeter, involving a car and a pedestrian, are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a grey Ford Focus and a female pedestrian in Church Road, Alphington, at around 8.45am on Friday 26 August.
As a result of the collision, the pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, sustained life changing injuries and was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

Devon County Council is offering free packs of trees to landowners and communities within Devon, thanks to the Emergency Tree Fund granted by The Woodland Trust.
