Citizens Advice Exeter is reporting a 19.5% rise in clients seeking help with employment issues, as the coronavirus pandemic impacts on workers and employers in the city.

In a new a research report from Citizens Advice Exeter, ‘We Can Work it Out’, the leading local advice charity highlights how certain groups were being particularly affected by the economic impact of the first lockdown and difficulties in returning to work.

Exeter to stream virtual Remembrance Sunday Service

Exeter will stream a virtual Remembrance Sunday Service on Sunday morning.

The Service will be streamed live on Facebook for people to watch and will include the laying of wreaths by various dignitaries, which have been filmed in advance.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Exeter City Council and Devon County Council supported by the 6th Battalion of the Rifles, made the hard decision not to conduct a live public service in the city for the safety of all those that would attend.

A world-leading climate scientist from the University of Exeter has received a prestigious award in recognition of his pioneering and innovative research.
