Race for Life turns Exeter pink!

Monday saw Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life team with the help of cancer survivor Lyndsey Balsdon, Snap Fitness, and Starbucks, paint the town pink across various locations in the City of Exeter.

The team at Snap Fitness took part in the event by holding a Spinathon. Starbucks also supported the event by handing out Race for Life Coffee cup holders to all their customers, and they even managed to turn their Coffee pink for the day to support such a fantastic cause.

Five of Exeter's recent property projects have been shortlisted in the 2019 Michelmores Property Awards. The annual awards celebrate exceptional property and construction projects located in Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Bristol and Cornwall, across ten categories.

Police appeal after fatal collision in Axminster

Police have appealed for witnesses following a fatal collision between two HGVs in Axminster on Monday morning [29 April].

Emergency services were called at 5.50am following the head-on collision on the A35 Gammons Hill at Kilmington Cross.

Both male drivers were trapped in their vehicles.

One driver, a 54-year-old man from Winchester, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The other driver involved, a 36-year-old man from the Bristol area, remains in Derriford Hospital with serious head and leg injuries.

CARERS in south Devon are next month (May 2019) being offered free advice on respite relief by a care provider in the area.

Guardian Homecare, which has offices and teams in Exeter, is hosting a Respite Care Awareness Week from Monday, May 13 and will be advising people on the topic.
