Rainbow Living announce partnership with Exeter Golf & Country Club

Rainbow Living is very excited to announce the charity has been selected by Exeter Golf and Country Club as the Golf Captains’ Charity of the Year for 2018/19.

Over the next 12 months Exeter Golf and Country Club is aiming to raise £10,000 for Rainbow Living, which is a local volunteer-run charity providing accommodation for adults with learning and other disability. Fundraising has already commenced with the Golf Dinner and Dance event raising £1,000. Many more fundraising events are planned throughout the year, including raffles, auctions and coffee mornings.

Recycle Devon’s new Reuse page went live this week and is one of the most comprehensive online resources on reuse, repair and upcycling in the UK.

The launch follows the anniversary of the worldwide Repair Café movement last month which saw hundreds of enthusiastic residents flock to Devon’s numerous Repair Cafes. Top wedding suppliers from across the south west came together for a prestigious awards ceremony at Rockbeare Manor, outside Exeter.

The Donkey Sanctuary has won a gold award in the prestigious 2018 Devon Tourism Awards. Paignton Zoo Environmental Park has become the only institution in the UK to keep a rare and special type of South American toad. The Devon zoo is now home to around 30 harlequin toads, Atelopus spumarius, after adding more individuals from Manchester Museum to its existing group.
