Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault on a 17-year-old boy on Flower Pot Lane, Exeter.

The assault happened on Thursday 22 September 2016 between 6 and 630pm.

The male offender allegedly punched the 17-year-old victim several times and then threatened him with a knife which he was wielding at the time.

Police Constable Matt Beards said: “There were approximately 30 people present watching the altercation.

“A member of the public intervened when the boy was being assaulted, which has potentially prevented a more serious assault....

Police search for missing Christopher

Police are concerned for the welfare of Christopher Lock, 44, who has been missing from the Newton Abbot area since around 7.30pm on Sunday 4th August 2016. They are appealing for the public’s help in finding him.

He may be in the Dartmoor or Bovey Tracey area but any sightings elsewhere will be very helpful to police.

Christopher is described as white, 44 years old, 5’8’’ to 5’9’’tall, weighting about 12 stone and of medium build. He has short dark brown and grey hair and likely to have facial stubble.

He has a small black cuff tattoo at the top of his left arm....

Police are appealing for information relating to a burglary which happened at a rural home near Spreyton, Devon, whilst the occupiers were away on holiday.

The burglary is believed to have taken place between Thursday 14 July and Saturday 16 July 2016.

The intruders forced their way into the house through the patio doors and took £70 cash, a Hewlett Packard laptop, a Compact laptop, power tools, and jewellery of significant and sentimental value as well as some unique antiques [pictured].

Woman dies in Okehampton collision

Officers from the serious collision investigation team are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision on the A3079 near Thorndon Cross, Okehampton.

The incident happened at 8.35am on Saturday 13th August 2016 and involved a grey Ford Focus and a red Peugeot 206.

A 25 year old local woman who was the front seat passenger in the Ford suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene

Devon and Cornwall Police are investigating reports of dozens of dead pigeons having been placed on a road near Honiton.

A member of the public informed police just after 9am today (Wednesday 3rd August) that a number of dead pigeons had been placed in a line along the markings in the centre of the road on the A35 near Windmill Garage and along Battishorne Way and Weatherhill Road.

Pedestrian seriously injured in A380 collision

Police were called by the ambulance service shortly after 4am on Saturday 30th July 2016 with a report that a 24 year old male pedestrian had been in collision with a white Peugeot van on the A380.

The incident happened 1km south of the Penn Inn roundabout on the Torquay bound lane of the dual carriageway.

The pedestrian lives outside the force area. The driver of the van is 49 and from Dawlish.

The van was travelling towards Torquay and it appears that the pedestrian was crossing the carriageway towards the central reservation when he was struck by the vehicle....

Police in Teignbridge are appealing for witnesses in relation to a robbery that occurred on Monday 25th July 2016, in the area of Bitton Avenue, Teignmouth.

Shortly before 8pm a woman, who was walking alone, was approached from behind by a man who attempted to steal her handbag, knocking her to the floor in the process.

Police are seeking witnesses to an assault that happened at the taxi rank near Lloyds bank, Newton Abbot on Wednesday 4th May 2016 at around 6.20pm.

A man was assaulted, and police believe these two men may be able to help them with their enquiries into the incident.
