NatWest team tackle Three Peaks Challenge

Three mountains hiked, 49,000 steps walked and 2865 metres climbed to raise money for St Loye’s Foundation.

On the 12th of September NatWest Devon Commercial Banking tackled the Welsh Three Peaks challenge to raise funds for their charity of the year, St Loye’s Foundation.

The NatWest team of 10 set off at 6am to climb Snowdon, the first and highest mountain of the Welsh Three Peaks. Taking on wind and rain the team completed the next two peaks finishing the challenge at 7.30pm.

Purrfect time for a race to aid cats

Saturday 3rd October 2015, Charity Race Night in aid of Exeter Axhayes cats protection adoption centre.

Another popular event being held at The Cat & Fiddle Inn, Sidmouth Road, Clyst St Mary. Doors open at 7pm with the first race starting at 7.30pm prompt.

Exeter charity launches fundraising pack

Community Equality Disability Action (CEDA) based in Exeter has today launched a new fundraising pack which encourage potential new supporters to raise money for the disability charity.

Craig Bowden from CEDA, comments: “For a long time now we have been considered a great secret and its now we begin to let the secret out. CEDA work with over 250 disabled people a year and the family and friends are aware of the work CEDA do, now it’s time to get the other 750,000 people in Devon knowing the same”.

ARTS QUARTER TO HARNESS SOCIAL MEDIA

LoveUKeira tractor road trip passes through Exeter

The LoveUKeira Tractor Road Trip is a three week, 700 mile vintage tractor run in aid of childhood brain tumour research and awareness, in loving memory of 2 year old Keira Lee who tragically passed away in December 2013 just a week after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

On Wednesday 12th August the team of 3 1950s Fordsons (including the now famous "LoveUKeira" pink tractor) and two hand-built showman's wagons, headed off for day three of their challenge.

City gears up for charity cycle ride

Fifteen hundred cyclists will be heading out of Topsham on Sunday June 28 in an event that has raised more than £300,000 for local cancer charity FORCE in the past four years.

They will leave the rugby club from 8am onwards to tackle 100 or 55 mile routes around the Devon countryside on the annual Nello ride.

This is the biggest fundraising event in the charity’s calendar and its popularity attracts riders back year after year.
