BBC ONE’s ever popular Sunday evening programme Antiques Roadshow will be filming for its 36th series on Exeter Cathedral Green, on Thursday, 12 September. The doors open at 9.30am and close at 4.30pm. Entry to the show is free.

Exeter Cathedral owns the most incredible book. Known as The Exeter Book it is one quarter of the world’s surviving collection of Anglo-Saxon literature (one of the other 3 texts being the better known Beowulf). It contains poems and all but one of the known Anglo-Saxon riddles (a traditions which helped to inspire Tolkien’s famous riddle scene in The Hobbit).

International streetartist Mohammed Ali is displaying his unique Future Cube outside Exeter Cathedral.
The cube is an interpretation of how religious belief is expressed in new ways in contemporary times. Each side of the large cube displays a different setting, with desert and rural meeting urban landscapes.
The Arabic word ‘Al Musaqubal’ – which means the future – wraps around the cube.
