Police helicopters were dispatched over Exeter late last night to aid in the search for a missing man. Emergency services called for assistance from the National Police Air Service (NPAS) after concerns were raised for the man’s welfare. A police helicopter team located the man in the Ludwell Valley area shortly after midnight and officers on the ground were directed to him.
A reward of up to £2,000 is being offered through independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers, for information on a robbery that occurred in Dawlish Warren last summer. Dean Smart, aged 27, is wanted in connection with the robbery which took place at Golden Sands Holiday Park in the early hours of 27 August 2013. Smart, who is from the Bath area, is considered dangerous, and police believe he is actively evading capture.
The incident, saw four offenders wearing balaclavas forced members of staff to open a safe containing a large quantity of cash.

Police are warning the public about a large-scale fraud, orchestrated by email, that makes death threats to recipients. The scam involves sending threatening emails to both individuals and companies advising them that someone close to them wants them dead and has provided details on how to kill the individual. The recipient is then told to provide their bank details in order to prevent any harm coming to them.
The scam appears to be at a national level, and the emails are very generic in nature, appearing to be sent from outside the UK. There have been five separate reported cases...
A body has been found by search teams looking for missing Plymouth man Martin Hough.
The body was discovered by officers at midday near Burrator Reservoir. Officers, members of the Dartmoor Rescue Group and the police helicopter were in the area since Martin Hough, 53, was reported missing to police on Sunday at around 7.15pm. He was last seen at about 9.45am that morning at an address in Rocky Park Road, wearing jeans and a blue/black check shirt and black boots. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared on behalf of the coroner.

Police have been carrying extensive searches for Harriet Melbourne who left for school on Monday but did not arrive. Harriet was located safe and well in Penzance this evening. Police are appealing for witnesses of a fatal collision near Totnes on the Friday 14th February. Richard Golborn, a 47-year-old man from Plymouth, was travelling on the A385 from Totnes to Avonwick when at around 2pm his car, a black Ford Focus, left the road and collided with a tree.
