At around 9.39pm on Thursday 18 April, a two vehicle road traffic collision occurred on an unclassified road on the approaches to the village of Feniton in East Devon.
The two vehicles involved were travelling in opposite directions.
One of the vehicles, a Renault Megane appears to have lost control and collided with the other, a Fiat Punto. A woman front seat passenger of the Renault vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the R D & E Hospital where she later died.

An Okehampton officer and his two brothers will be heading straight for success with a 230-mile charity walk next month. Neighbourhood beat manager Matt Evans will be treking the Fosse Way Roman Road with his brother Steve, a police fingerprint expert, and Barry, a care home manager, in aid of two charities. Police are continuing to search for Meryl Cameron, missing from her home in Canonstown near Hayle.
She has not been seen for nearly two weeks and her car, a distinctive white soft top Renault Megan, registration number WK62 YMC, was found at Hells Mouth on the B3301 on the morning of Saturday 30th March.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a single-vehicle collision in Torquay, which left a man seriously injured. A Citroen Saxo was in collision with a stone gatepost on Lower Warberry Road at 12.35am on Saturday (6 April). The driver, who was the only person in the car, sustained serious chest and spinal injuries and was taken to Torbay Hospital. Today at Exeter Crown Court, Junior Bradshaw aged 32 years and Kevin Liverpool, aged 35 years, both from Manchester, were found guilty of conspiracy to rob and murder Joss Stone.
Kevin Liverpool has been sentenced to life imprisonment and will serve a minimum of 10 years and 8 months.
