Brewin Dolphin’s Devon and Cornwall based wealth management team is celebrating 10 years of continuous growth in the region with the announcement that it now manages more than one billion pounds of clients’ investments.

Exeter-based rugby player Don Armand has cautiously welcomed military action in Zimbabwe which could see an end to 93-year-old president Robert Mugabe's reign.

Don spent his childhood on a 1,000-acre holding near Harare where is father grew flowers but the family was eventually forced to flee after land owned by white farmers came under siege.

Don has now settled in Exeter and is married with two children but he woke up on Wednesday morning to the news that the military had temporarily taken control of his homeland to “target criminals” around Mr Mugabe.

Two talented young researchers at the University of Exeter Medical School have been awarded prestigious Industrial Innovation Fellowships by the National Environment Research Council (NERC) for their work on antibiotic resistance and our natural environment.

Exeter University injects £1.1 billion into economy, generating 11,000 South West jobs

The University of Exeter injects more than £1.17bn into the economy and generates almost 11,000 jobs in the South West, a major new study has revealed. Artistic and Executive Director of Exeter Northcott Theatre Paul Jepson has announced a major new revival of Schiller’s Don Carlos with Tom Burke leading the company as Rodrigo, Marquis of Posa. Gadi Roll’s production is presented in a co-production with Nuffield Southampton Theatres and Rose Theatre Kingston.

Lidl UK has officially started operations from its new Regional Distribution Centre in Exeter.
