Two key decisions which are especially important to East Devon’s biggest town were taken by East Devon District Council last night (Wednesday December 21, 2016)
The council has agreed to invest £1.7m in modernising Exmouth Town Hall. This important building will be a new multi-service hub for Exmouth and the surrounding area. Around 40% of the district’s population lives in the Exmouth catchment area so the council realises it makes sense to provide public facing services in the town.

They plan to set out from Exeter at 1pm on Friday and will walk to Exmouth and back, on to Dawlish and finish in Exminster on the morning of Christmas Eve.
All they want for Christmas is decent weather and plenty of support and sponsorship for their chosen causes – FORCE Cancer Charity and Dream-A-Way.

After handing over the keys to an EDA representative on 30 November as agreed, three REL Board Members took one last look at the auditorium in the Owen Building, where an Exeter-based touring theatre...

Start-up businesses and community groups will no longer be able to use the Owen Building on the former Rolle College site in Exmouth from the end of November 2016.
After that, the long association that Rolle Exmouth Ltd (REL) has had with the site will end, as new owners Exeter Deaf Academy take full possession of the grounds and buildings, which they have bought from Plymouth University. But the concept of the REL community enterprise is still very much alive – and those fighting to preserve the spirit of Rolle are ready for the new challenge that they face. The REL Board will...
